Princess in Devon

Today we fitted a set of recharged Hydragas units to a Princess in Barnstaple. The job was quite challenging cause one of the radius arm shafts was seized. We carry spare radius arms and shafts incase this happens so these were replaced. The other rear came apart normally but one of the front pipes was badly corroded and weak, this split as soon as an attempt was made to unscrew it. We managed to repair this with a piece of copper pipe bent to shape with a flare on the end and joined to what was left of the original pipe with a compression fitting. The job was completed moments before the heavens opened

Mobiles in Hampshire

We’re down South again. Yesterday we fitted a set of recharged Hydragas units to a lovely original factory black Princess 2200 HLS Automatic in Fleet, Hampshire. Before our work the suspension was rigid as can be seen in our video, within a few hours the ride was transformed and is now beautifully comfortable. The customer was delighted and says that the ride quality is better than his modern Range Rover and today we fitted a set of recharged units to this lovely VP1500. Some time ago we did another VP1500 for the same customer and this is his latest acquisition. The job was completed in good time and the car now rides beautifully www.hahsltd.co.uk

MGF MOBILE IN HITCHIN

Today we travelled to Hitchin in Hertfordshire to carry out the fitment of a set of recharged Hydragas units to this very nice MGF. The job was completed cleanly, efficiently and in good time, it wasn’t long before the customer had the first drive and was very pleased with the results

Rover Metro Mobile

Today we travelled to Northampton to fit a set of recharged Hydragas units to this Metro and change one of the pipes which was damaged. It wasn’t too long a journey but when we got there the suspension was short on travel. It wasn’t long before the job was completed and afterwards the ride wasn’t short on comfort!

Suspension Pipe Fitment

Yesterday, our final job on our trip down south was the fitment of a new front to rear suspension pipe supplied by the Allegro club for a previous customer in Reading. The original pipe had corroded through and was leaking from underneath one of the underfloor fixing tabs. These new pipes have to be joined to part of the old pipe as no filling valve is provided. A compression fitting is supplied with the new pipe for this purpose. We made the join as close to the fill valve as possible. The end result was neat and the pipe fitted along the floor of the car well
